Snow is forecast for tomorrow at home, but the boys couldn't wait for their first icy play
session, so Grammy drove them up to the south hills at the edge of town, where there was
about 3 inches on the ground.  We parked at a trailhead where there was room to play.

"What's this strange white stuff?" Con seems to say.

The boys get to work piling up snow for a snowman... or simply a pile of snow.

Pretty soon the roar of an ATV breaks the quiet.  The boys stop to watch the rider plowing through the snow.

Con with a snow chunk, if not quite a snow ball.

Cade discovers that even kicking snow is fun.

Then, he gets an idea and decides to see if you can really roll a ball of snow.  Yes!  He's off and working...
