Cade's and Con's World:
Kirk Park

Shoot Date:
October 7, 2008

Heading out along a meadow trail.  There were forested areas on either side.

Even a fallen leaf becomes a work of art when covered with dewdrops.

Bright red poison oak turns color early, and shoots up through the still-green trees like flames.

Oak galls cover both sides of a leaf Jenny found.  The little balls are produced by wasp larvae that burrow into the leaves and secrete a chemical that forms the gall.

At the back of a picnic area we discovered this quiet pond, its surface covered with a bloom of tiny yellow flowers.
