Seasonal swale across from Donnah's Pond along Northwest Expressway.  This
swale isn't much more than a foot deep, and won't dry up entirely until July,
but birds of all kinds--and the occasional nutria--seem to love its shallow
waters and sheltered places to hide.  The rail yard is to the left, where
train cars are shunted on multiple tracks all day long in preparation for
their trips north to Portland and Seattle or south to California.

Ducks swim in the smaller south end of the Park Avenue pond, searching for
the bits of bread I've thrown.  I discovered later that they're also competing
with carp in the pond, who love to surface and gobble up my bread crusts.
