On a slope in a part of the Douglas fir forest  with many dead branches
in the understory.

One of the prettiest leaf forms belongs to the plant bearing the inside-out flower.
Almost fernlike in its structure, it spreads a delicate blanket of ivy-shaped leaves
through great sections of the forest.

The delicate blossoms of the inside-out flower, which do indeed look
as if they've been turned inside out.
