Ridgeline Trail Hike

Shoot Date: 5-22-2008

Looking down the slopes, you sometimes catch sight of the roofs of homes,
though most of the time it's almost impossible to tell that you're actually close
to civilization.  The Ridgeline trail system is a rare escape within the city.

Wild columbine brightens the trail

On a slope, the trail heads past the massive maple tree on the left.

Coming out into an oak forest near the Willamette end of this section of the trail,
you can get a good view of the valley beyond.

Another small gem is this tiny meadow near the Crest Drive end of this
trail segment, where native white-blossoming hawthorn accents the view.
